Today was a very pleasant session at Lancing, starting out on a 3.0m and getting straight out there at just before 2pm I guess. Not a shorebreak as such, but still needed a gap between the waves. After a while, I remembered why 3m sails spend 2 years at a time in the garage, they are horrible. The power disappears instantly leaving you wallowing inside, waiting for a gust. Changed to a 4m Ezzy to ensure plenty of oomph at all times. And it was dead right for the next few hours. The swell was really well spaced and defined in lines, and out back was overhead. It steepened and peaked and peaked again and held its shape for ages. Caught more than a few crackers. Good jumping, steep faces all the way out, and a lot of frontside riding. Finished after 5pm.
